A Takeout’s Guide to The Persian Cuisine

Here are some Persian foods and beverages to help you make an educated choice the next time you order from a Persian or a Best Mediterranean restaurant Las Vegas.


Persian Coffee and Tea

There’s no such thing as great as actually going to market and purchasing “Persian Tea”. The Iranians would enjoy Ceylon tea or Darjeeling tea, mixed with Earl Grey. The Earl Grey will give the tea a perfumed flavor and smell. In order to brew your cup of tea, you would need a teapot, more ideally a tea kettle, a glass mug, and if you are fancy, then a Russian-style Samovar. Start by boiling the water, and rinse the glass with boiling water in order to keep tea warm for longer. Then brew tea in the teapot. In order to keep water warmer, you should stow teapot upon the kettle.

The Iranians enjoy tea for breakfast – as well as for lunch, and dinner, as well as for after-dinner – and it is commonly served with rock candy, pistachios, and Nan (flat bread).

Shammi Kebab

Shammi is essentially a patty made with meat and legumes. While you may not find Shammi kebabs on a lot of restaurant menus, you can definitely try it in a restaurant that serves Persian and Mediterranean food Las Vegas. It could be made with ground beef, chicken, lamb, or it could be made completely with vegetables. Add some spices such as paprika, saffron, turmeric, cinnamon, chickpeas or split peas, and finally eggs in the food processor. You may add some lemon juice and chopped potatoes. Form a patty, roll it in flour, egg yolk, and then panko crumbs. And finally fry it in canola or olive oil.
